About our instructors:
Ann opened her business in Stouffville before the major growth in the community began. She trained in Fashion Design and Tailoring Techniques. Her numerous years of experience in dressmaking has expanded on her many talents and abilities in all areas of sewing. She now enjoys playing with her grandchildren in her spare time but manages to keep on top of customer and student needs.

Growing up in England Karen would watch her mum knit her dolls clothes and I wanted to duplicate it. Starting with the basic stitches of knit and purl she knitted squares. At the age of 8 she decided to make herself a sweater, it was bright red and she wore the sweater for many years. She moved on very quickly to making different types of garments and in her early 20’s started making sweaters for friends. She has taught many people how to knit and loves to share her knowledge with anyone who would like to learn.
The Sewing club – Get inspired! Come sit and chat about sewing projects you are working on or would like to. Share ideas and techniques with our teachers and others, learn about new and existing sewing notions. Finish those unfinished projects!
